Tryout Registration Options
FC Lake County shall be offering MULTIPLE Tryout options in 2024, so please review this information closely.
- 2017 (U8) BOYS & GIRLS
Boys: Tuesday, April 16
Girls: Tuesday, April 23
Time: 5:15 to 6:30pm
- 2010 (U15) to 2006 (U19) GIRLS
Sunday's April 21 & 28
Eligible Birth Years: 2010 & 2009 - 5:15 to 6:30pm
Eligible Birth Years: 2008 to 2006 - 6:30 to 7:45pm
- PRE TRYOUT EVAULATIONS
New for 2024, we shall be offering pre tryout evaluations during the month of April to players born 2014 or older AND who currently play travel soccer OUTSIDE of FCLC.
After registering for tryouts, please contact the appropriate age group Director for further information.
- OPEN TRYOUTS
Week of April 29 (Two sessions per week)
Eligible Birth Years:
Boys - 2016 (U9) to 2006 (U19)
Girls - 2016 (U9) to 2011 (U14)

**Please note: These tryout sessions replace all team training sessions for this specific week**
- NEW FOR 2024-25
Any full time Goalkeepers "assigned" to a team aged U11 (2014) or above within the new season will receive a 40% discounted rate.
**This cannot be combined with any financial aid packages.
2024-25 Tryout Schedule
Registration Details
TRYOUT LOCATION:
- Alleghany Park, Grayslake
All NEW & CURRENT players MUST pre-register for tryouts.
- As part of the registration process, you will be asked to upload a series of waivers, headshot player picture and also provide proof of age if your child has never previously played travel soccer in Illinois.
- Our age group Directors shall send additional communication confirming the specific dates, times and field location.
- EXISTING players are required to tryout over both dates.
- These sessions double as the training sessions for the remaining games, as well as allowing coaching staff to evaluate existing players with any new players trying out.
- NEW players are strongly recommended to attend both dates, to allow our coaching staff multiple opportunities to evaluate playing abilities prior to final decisions on team placement.
- Communication on team assignments for 2024-25 shall be sent via email 72 hours after the final tryout session.
- New players maybe asked to attend a session with one of our teams the following week should we need to see a player once more, before making final decisions.

SUPPLEMENTAL TRYOUT FOR NEW PLAYERS
Should a new player miss one or both of our primary tryout sessions but would like to be evaluated for one of our 2024-25 season teams, please contact one of our age group Directors to arrange a supplemental tryout the week of open tryouts.
